Wats are Buddhist temple complexes, and I've heard tourists say that if you've seen one you've seen them all. Wrong! Some are similar, it's true, but many have unique personalities and histories and vibes. Here's a surreal and beautiful one in Chiang Mai, partly in ruins from an earthquake 400 years ago!
